Learn About Our

Our Leadership Team

Kenneth and Dr. Catherine treat every client like an extension of their own family. They take the time to get to know each client and root-cause of their concerns. Dr. Catherine and Kenneth see those concerns as opportunities to help make a tangible difference in their clients’ lives to help them achieve optimal health. They will continue to build on that tradition with respect and integrity. Their clients will be carefully matched with the most compatible caregiver. The caregivers are well-trained and supervised. Kenneth and Dr. Catherine are always available as a reference to their clients and caregivers. They are truly compassionate in helping others and they try to provide an environment that allows their clients to live the best quality of life possible. Their goal is to enable the people in the community to safely remain in their own homes and make their lives easier.

Dr. Catherine Onuoha

Owner/CEO

PhD, RPh, BCPP, CPh

Prior to purchasing Natural Medicine Center and Compassionate Homecare Partners, Dr. Catherine Onuoha, PhD, RPh, BCPP, CPh, had a livelihood through various Academic Professorial posts for 20 years. Catherine earned a Clinical Pharmacy degree and later pursued advanced neuroscience training at the Walter Reed Army Institute for Research (WRAIR).  Past professorial duties included Catherine’s teaching of fledgling professional students: Pharmacy Doctoral students, Medical students, and Nurse candidates.  Because she most enjoyed teaching brain and neurology lectures–Dr. Catherine became Board Certified for Psychiatric Medication Adjustment efforts.  Since Dr. Catherine also taught cardiovascular and endocrine pharmacology, she retains a high-level understanding concerning Blood Pressure or Diabetic medications.  Keep in mind that blood pressure and blood sugar medications constitute a large segment in what local Senior Citizens take every day!  Dr. Catherine stands ready to help because our Health Care agency has the capability to install an automatic drug dispensing machine in client homes; dispensing machines can improve drug compliance and efficacy.

Dr. Catherine Onuoha graduated with honors from a PhD program at Virginia Common Wealth Medical College that focused her on Medical Research.  Onuoha has published scholarly articles, many of which involve cognitive impairment conditions. Dr. Catherine understands the conflicted emotional state that clients and family members experience as an aged or disabled family member falls. The Compassionate Homecare Team is guided under Catherine’s tutelage. Although Dr. Catherine now spends most of her time working within the Natural Medicine Center clinic, she is a committed Administrator for Compassionate Homecare Partners.  Catherine believes that stellar training in her Caregiver crew will always pay dividends—because clients are well served.  Dr. Catherine is on track to complete studies in a Certified Senior Advisor [CSA] program in July 2020. Onuoha is passionate about gerontology and believes CSA certification will further increase her ability the highest possible standards of care for Compassionate Homecare clients.

On a Personal note:
I embrace this core tenet as true:  ‘we all have a moral obligation to protect the most vulnerable members of society’.  In the same vein of thought, the elderly and disabled individuals deserve dignity, respect, and compassion to age or stay in their familiar environment.  I became an owner of Compassionate Homecare Partners to uphold dignity and foster wellbeing in aged or disabled clients.

Kenneth Onuoha

Owner/President/CT

Kenneth Onuoha previously attended Union University in Jackson Tennessee in pursuit of a degree program in social work before moving to Florida for family reasons. Kenneth later transferred to Florida’s Polk State College and MedTech Institute where he completed a Licensed Practical Nursing program. The strong desire to help make a real difference in people’s lives compelled Mr. Onuoha to excel in a rigorous nursing program. His caring and empathetic nature are what led him to a career in the nursing program and conversely, his belief in helping and healing the client from a root- cause analysis perspective, After graduating from nursing school, Kenneth joined Natural Medicine Center of Lakeland, in the role of Patient Care Coordination and assisted Dr. Catherine in the day to day operations of her clinic. Kenneth is also a professional Certified Clinical Thermographer (CT).

Before owning Compassionate Home Care Partners, Kenneth had a long tenure in Business Management Positions. Kenneth held upper level management positions in several retail corporations, including JC Penny, Tuesday Morning, and Ethan Allen Corporation.  While Kenneth enjoyed, managing and motivating his staff in such positions, he was compelled to invest in a more rewarding opportunity that’s focused on making a palpable difference in people’s lives.

On a personal level, Mr. Onuoha prides himself on being an advocate for the elderly in ensuring that they are receiving quality care and being treated fairly by both our caregivers and the client’s family. As Kenneth recently had his father pass away and cared for his elderly mother while she recovered from knee replacement surgeries, he understands the significance of having an empathetic, trusted and compassionate care giving team. Therefore, has a unique insight into his client’s and client’s family’s needs and situations.
